Objective To observe the application effect of stepping ball method on ankle pump movement in orthopedic bedridden patients.
Methods A total of 200 orthopedic bedridden patients were selected as research objects, and divided into control group and observation group according to the date of hospitalization, with 100 cases in each group. The ankle pump movement compliance, ankle dorsiflexion and plantar flexion angles as well as femoral venous blood flow indexes were compared between the two groups.
Results The proportion of compliance in the observation group was 95%, which was significantly higher than 78% in the control group (P < 0.01). The ankle dorsiflexion and plantar flexion angles in the observation group were (26.76±4.83) ° and (47.68±3.85) °, respectively, which were significantly greater than(24.58±3.52) ° and (43.24±6.85) ° in the control group (P < 0.05). The maximum blood flow velocity, mean blood flow velocity, vascular diameter and blood flow per minute in the femoral vein systolic period of the observation group were significantly greater than those of the control group (P < 0.05).
Conclusion The application effect of stepping ball methodin ankle pump movement is better, which can improve the compliance of orthopedic bedridden patients and is easy in operation.
