Objective To compare the effect between integrated therapy by holding medicine combined with auricular-plaster therapy and estazolam in treating insomnia patients with tumor differentiated as Yin deficiency.
Methods A total of 100 patients with tumor differentiated as yin deficiency type were randomly divided into control group and experimental group, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing and orally taken estazolam tablets, while the experimental group was given integrated therapy by holding medicine combined with auricular-plaster therapy. The total score of sleep quality and the scores of each dimension were evaluated in both groups before the intervention and after the first and second courses of intervention.
Results After one course of intervention, the total score and each dimension score of sleep quality in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group and before treatment (P < 0.05). After two courses of intervention, the total score of sleep quality and the scores of all dimensions in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05).
Conclusion Integrated therapy by holding medicine combined with auricular-plaster therapy can effectively improve the insomnia of patients with tumor differentiated as yin deficiency, it has less adverse reactions, and better efficacy than estazolam.
