Clinical study of Huoxue Zishen Prescription in treating endometriosis of kidney deficiency and blood stasis syndrome

Objective  To explore the effect of Huoxue Zishen Prescription in treating endometriosis of kidney deficiency and blood stasis syndrome.

Methods  A total of 96 patients with endometriosis of kidney deficiency and blood stasis syndrome were selected as study subjects, and were divided into two groups according to random number table method. A total of 48 patients in the control group were treated with goserelin, and 48 patients in the study group were treated with Huoxue Zishen Prescription on basis of the control group. The clinical effect, sex hormone level, inflammatory factor level, adverse reaction rate and pregnancy were compared.

Results  The total effective rate of the study group was 89.58%, which was higher than 72.92% of the control group (P < 0.05). The serum estradiol (E₂), luteinizing hormone (LH) and serum follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) in the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment (P < 0.05), and the above indicators in the study group were lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the levels of interleukin (IL-8), soluble intercellular adhesion molecule (sICAM-1), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and were lower in the study group than those in the control group (P < 0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the study group was 6.25%, which was lower than 20.83% in the control group (P < 0.05). Both groups were followed up for 6 months after treatment, the clinical pregnancy success rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group (45.83% versus 25.00%, P < 0.05).

Conclusion  Huoxue Zishen Prescription has a significant therapeutic effect in treating endometriosis of kidney deficiency and blood stasis syndrome. It can obviously improve the levels of sex hormone and inflammatory factors, increase pregnancy rate, and have fewer adverse reactions.
