The Authors have analyzed the treatment of 138 cases with the aged intertrochantericfractures over a 5 - year period. The operation is the initial choice of the treatment of the aged intertrochanteric fractures, which depends on the fracture kind, the number and seriousness of other existingdiseases. The anesthetic tolerance would decide the treatment. The treatment during the peri-operationcould ensure the success of the operation.
