EXPRESSION OF CYCLIN E IN GASTRIC CARCINOMAS AND ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH CELL PROLIFERATIVE ACTIVITY

Objective: Studying the Expression of cyclin E in gastric carcinomas and its relationship with cell proliferative activity and other pathological elements in clinic.Motheds:Expression of cyclin E and Ki-67 in 40 cases of gastric carcinomas was detected by immunohistochemical method.Results:The total positive expression rate of cyclin E and Ki-67 was 45% and 72.5%,respectively.The incidence of Ki-67 expression was higer in cyclin E positive tumors than in the other tumors.Inddition,cyclin E expression was observed frequetly in deeply invasive tumors with lymph node metastasis,and tumors with advanced stage.Conclusion:The expression of cyclin E correlates with Ki-67 expression and might contribute to the progression of gastric carcinoma.
