COMPARED THORACOTOMY OF INTERCOSTAL INCISION WITH THORACOTOMY OF RIB RESECTION

Objective:To minimize the damage of tissues and possibly not to hurt the function of orgas.we design thoracotomy of intercostal incision.Methods:To compar the cases of 183 thoracotomy of intercostal incision (Group A) with thoracotomy of rib resection 153 patients (Group B). With Health statistics, Group A and Group B got similar in the width of the cut (P0 05); the quantity of the cut hemorrhage in Group A was significantly lower than that in Group B (P0 001); so do the pain postoperaton (P0 001).Results:Thoracotomy of intercostal incision is advantagous to expose the cut, to reduce the quantity of hemorrhage and to relieve the pain postoperation. The patients could cough more effectively after operation.Conclusion:This method could cut down trauma obviously, decrease the complications of blood transfusion and lessen lung infections, but havent local deforming depressed chest unlike thoracotomy of rib resection. So this method can be adopted valuably.
