Application of early sucking and contact in the postpartum placental stripping and bleeding nursing

More Information
  • Objective To study application of early sucking and contact in the postpartum placental stripping and bleeding nursing. Methods A total of 100 puerperae in our hospital with natural childbirth were divided into experimental 1 group and experimental 2 group according to random number table method, and another 50 puerperae with placental stripping and bleeding nursing were as control group.Early sucking and contact was applied in the experimental 1 group in 5 ~ 10 min after born and 10 ~20 min for experimental 2 group, and the control group didn't applied above measures.Placental stripping, bleeding and uterine instauration of two groups were compared. Results Placental expulsion rates within 15 min in experiment 1 group and 2 group were higher than the control group (P < 0.05);The incidence of postpartum hemorrhage in experimental 1 group was significantly lower than the experimental 2group and control group (P < 0.05);Experimental 1 and 2 groups had better 24 h postpartum uterine instauration (P < 0.05).Conclusion Early sucking and mother-infant touch can promote placental expulsion, reduce postpartum hemorrhage, promote uterine instauration,so it is worthy of further clinical application and promotion.
