Objective To investigate the effect of clinical nursing pathway on drug compliance and efficacy of health education in patients with schizophrenia.
Methods A total of 70 patients with schizophrenia were randomly divided into study group(n=35) and control group(n=35). The control group carried out clinical routine nursing program, and the study group used clinical nursing pathway. The drug compliance, efficacy of health education after intervention and self-care ability of the two groups were analyzed.
Results The drug compliance rate after intervention in the study group was 97.14%, which was significantly higher than 85.71%in the control group(P < 0.05). The awareness in disease, drug, and rehabilitation knowledge in the study group scored (95.20± 3.29), (96.29±3.05), and (93.12±4.14) points, respectively, and (82.50±4.67), (84.78±5.94), and (80.68±5.49) points, respectively, in the control group. The study group had significantly higher scores in health knowledge, self-responsibility, self-concept, and self-care ability than those in the control group(P < 0.05). The care satisfaction in the study group was 97.14%, which was significantly higher than 80.00% in the control group(P < 0.05).
Conclusion Clinical nursing pathway can effectively improve the medication compliance, consolidate the effect of health education, improve self-management ability, improve nursing satisfaction and overall nursing service.
