Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of standardized sedative nursing in patients in Intensive Care Unit(ICU). Methods Totally 156 patients in ICU were selected and randomly divided into control group and study group, with 78 cases in each group. Patients in the control group were given routine care, while those in the study group were given standardized sedative nursing plan. The Ramsay sedation score, catheterization time, time for observation in ICU and hospitalization time as well as incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The Ramsay sedation score and hospitalization time in the study group were significantly lower and shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05), but there were no significant differences in catheterization time and time for observation in ICU between the two groups(P>0.05). The incidence rate of adverse reactions in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion The standardized sedative nursing plan has satisfactory effect in treatment of patients in ICU, which can effectively shorten the hospital stay and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions.
