Effect observation of otoendoscopic myringoplasty in treatment of 29 patients with large perforation of tympanic membrane

  • Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of otoendoscopic myringoplasty in treatment of patients with large perforation of tympanic membrane. Methods The clinical materials of 29 patients with chronic suppurative otitis media in resting phase by treatment of otoendoscopic tympanoplasty were retrospectively analyzed. At three months after follow up, the primary healing rate of tympanic membrane, dry ear time and pure tone threshold audiometry(PTA)and air bone conduction difference(ABG)after operation were observed. Results The primary healing rate of tympanic membrane in 29 patients was 93.10% after operation, the average dry ear time was(1.60±0.66)months, and the average PTA and ABG after dry ear were(35.89±18.02)and(13.84±7.72)dB, respectively, and there were significant differences before and after operation(P<0.05). Conclusion Otoendoscopic tympanoplasty is effective in the treatment of patients with large perforation of tympanic membrane, which can improve the hearing condition of patients, shorten the postoperative dry ear time, and has less trauma.
