Abstract

Objective
To clarify the concept of perioperative surgical home(PSH)through literature review and analysis, and to provide reference for the application and promotion of PSH concept in clinical practice.
Methods
Related literatures from January 2011 to June 2021 selected from Chinese database such as China National Knowledge Internet (CNKI), Wanfang Data, VIP database, and English database such as PubMed, Web of Science and Embase were analyzed with Walker and Avant′s concept analysis. Definition attributes and evaluation index of PSH were clarified by analyzing status quo of PSH reports in domestic and foreign literatures, antecedents and consequences were analyzed, and model cases were constructed.
Results
PSH mainly had following five attributes: centering on optimizing patient experience; multi-disciplinary cooperation; standardizing medical and nursing procedures based on evidence-based medicine; perioperative management; reducing medical costs, improving patients′ satisfaction and protecting the health of the population.
Conclusion
PSH is created under the background of rapid development of perioperative medicine, and has its unique characteristics and good development trend. The analysis of this concept is helpful to understand the concept deeply and provide support for the clinical application of PSH in the later period.
