Application of enhanced recovery after surgery in postoperative nursing of robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy

  • Objective 

    To observe the effect of enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) in postoperative nursing after robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy.

    Methods 

    Eighty patients who underwent Da Vinci robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy were selected as the study objects. According to postoperative differed nursing methods, the patients were divided into control group and observation group, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group was given nursing based on ERAS. The efficacy and occurrence of complications of the two groups were observed and compared.

    Results 

    There was no significant difference in the amount of intraoperative blood loss, operation time and total incidence of postoperative complications between two groups (P>0.05). The first time of getting out of bed, the first time of water intake, the time of anal exhaust, the time of drainage tube removal and the time of hospitalization in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group (P < 0.05).

    Conclusion 

    ERAS is effective and safe in the postoperative care of robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy.
