Objective To investigate the effects of acupoint application combined with early limb rehabilitation training on limb function and quality of life in elderly patients with neurosurgery cerebral hemorrhage.
Methods A total of 52 patients with cerebral hemorrhage admitted to our hospital were selected as routine group, and were given routine rehabilitation intervention. Another 52 patients were selected as study group, and were performed acupoint application combined with early limb rehabilitation training. Clinical efficacy, limb function and quality of life before and after intervention were compared.
Results The clinical effective rate of the study group was better than that of the routine group after 2 weeks of intervention (P < 0.05). Fugl-Meyer Upper and Lower Limb Motor Function Scale scores were higher in the study group than routine group after 2 weeks of intervention (P < 0.05). The scores of hand function, motive ability, memory and thinking, daily life ability, communication, emotion, strength and social participation were significantly higher than those of the routine group (P < 0.05).
Conclusion Acupoint application combined with early limb rehabilitation training in elderly patients with neurosurgery cerebral hemorrhage can significantly improve the clinical efficacy, promote limb function recovery, and improve the quality of life.
