Value of serum anti-phospholipase A2 receptor antibody and renal function indicators in diagnosis of patients with idiopathic membranous nephropathy

Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical value of serum anti-phospholipase A2 receptor(PLA2R)antibody and renal function indicators in diagnosis of patients with idiopathic membranous nephropathy. Methods A total of 100 patients with idiopathic membranous nephropathy were included in group A, and 100 hospitalized non-idiopathic membranous nephropathy patients in the same period were selected as group B, and 100 healthy people with physical examination during the same period were selected as group C. The positive rates of serum anti-PLA2R antibody in the group A with differed staging were compared, and the indexes of renal function were analyzed between the three groups. Results The levels of cysteine C(Cys C), blood urea nitrogen(BUN), creatinine(CREA), uric acid(UA), total protein(TP), albumin(ALB), 24-hour urinary protein(24 h UP)in two groups showed no significant differences(P>0.05). Compared with group C, Cys C, BUN, CREA, UA, 24 h UP levels in groups A and B were significantly higher, and the levels of TP and ALB were significantly lower(P<0.05). The indicators of renal function in patients with different pathological idiopathic membranous nephropathy between stage Ⅰ and stage Ⅱ as well as between stage Ⅲ and stage Ⅳ showed no significant differences(P>0.05). Compared with patients in stages Ⅰ and Ⅱ, the levels of Cys C, BUN, CREA, UA, TP, ALB, 24 h UP in those with stage Ⅲ and stage Ⅳ showed significant differences(P<0.05). The positive rate of anti-PLA2R antibody detection in patients with idiopathic membranous nephropathy was 68.0%, which was not related to the pathological staging(P>0.05). Conclusion Serum anti-PLA2R antibody can be used as an important serological - indicator in diagnosing idiopathic membranous nephropathy, and joint detection with renal function indicators helps to grasp the progression of the disease.
