  •   Objective  To observe the clinical effect of Sanfen Yuyang Power combined with proton pump inhibitor (PPI) in the treatment of gastric ulcer with type of blood stasis obstructing meridian.
      Methods  A total of 80 gastric ulcer patients with type of blood stasis obstructing meridians who were negative for Helicobacter pylori (Hp) were randomly divided into two groups. The observation group(n=40) was treated with Sanfen Yuyang Power combined with PPI (rabeprazole), and the control group(n=40) was treated with PPI (rabeprazole). Patients in both groups were treated for a course of 8-week treatment. After treatment, the clinical effects, TCM syndrome scores and improvement degree of gastric ulcer under endoscopy were compared between the two groups.
      Results  The cure rate of the observation group was 52.50%, which was higher than 32.50% of the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the improvement condition of gastric ulcer under gastroscopy in the observation group was better than that in the control group (P < 0.05). The scores of primary and secondary symptoms, such as stomachache, pain after eating and nocturnal pain in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05).
      Conclusion  The clinical efficacy of Sanfen Yuyang Power combined with rabeprazole in the treatment of gastric ulcer with type of blood stasis obstructing meridians is superior to the use of rabeprazole, speed up repair of gastric ulcer and improve the healing quality of gastric ulcer.
